- There have been several threads in this newsgroup concerning
- the use of 'cin' and related member functions. The problems
- expressed seem to be focused on 'cin's apparently buffered
- input.

- One poster indicated that 'cin' is not buffered, that the
- buffering is OS specific.

- Others have indicated that EOL's are being left in the buffer
- after entering non-'char*' data.

- Does anyone have a WWW page or ftp site in mind that addresses
- 'cin' usage? Is there an on-line tutorial with sample code? Is
- there sample code on-line that was found in a book? Can the FAQ
- be expanded somewhat on this topic?
